Alright everyone, here is some distraction for you! We need your help in naming our newest mom and puppies!
Mom was rescued from a community in northern Saskatchewan. She was found chained, emaciated and pregnant 💔 As soon as we saw her photo we knew we had to help her. Her sad, defeated eyes were palpable and we so badly wanted to be the ones to give her the life and love she deserves. A few days after she was rescued, she gave birth to 10 puppies, 6 females and 4 males. Mom is described by her foster in Saskatchewan as very sweet and so incredibly attentive towards her babies.
You will notice from the picture of one of the female puppies that she has a deformed paw. We recently learned that this is a congenital bone abnormality known as Ectrodactyly and will either require amputation or orthopaedic surgery. This will not be decided for several months and with close consultation with our vet partners. However we feel she needs an extra special name! Comment below your suggestions and we will post their names in the coming days.
