Just like you, we love dogs and want the very best for every single one of them!

Northern Hope Dog Rescue Society (NHDRS), is a registered charity organization founded in 2016 by two cousins (Devon & Dana) as a frontline rescuing mission. Our founder relocated from Nanaimo, British Columbia to a remote community of Northern Saskatchewan to work as a psychiatric nurse. During that time, Dana was faced with the harsh reality dogs in remote communities face.

The direness of the situation was clear from the beginning, and our founder, along with rescue partners within the province were able to save 181 lives in one year from one community alone, while also working alongside community members.

Since Dana returned to Vancouver Island, her love and passion for helping these dogs has remained. Northern Hope Dog Rescue Society is now being re-started as an adoption-based rescue, working with frontline rescuers in remote communities to save and adopt out stray and unwanted puppies and dogs. We are based in Victoria and Vancouver, and we are always looking for amazing fosters and adoption homes across British Columbia.

Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported our journey this far!
